“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” ~ Ansel Adams
Being a photographer is such an important and rewarding job. It is the art that captures the most intimate moments in peoples lives. It leaves a record of memories for years and years to reflect back on. I am allowed to be a part of peoples lives, to capture feelings, moments, thoughts, and gestures that would normally just pass us by.
A babies first smile, a child laughing, or a couple exchanging their vows are all moments with great importance in our lives, moments that will never happen again, but can be relived if they are captured with a photograph.
I have been a photographer for over 20 years. I love what I do, and have a great respect for the people who allow me a look inside their lives from behind my camera.
